3PL Enterprises Are Short-lived

On the China Top 100 Enterprises Senior Forum 2006 held on 28 June, experts and entrepreneurs in presence brainstormed on the development of logistics enterprises. Some incisive views are collected as below:
The competitive power of logistics development not only lies in transportation, but also in financing and other associate facilities.
Logistics enterprises should concentrate on becoming more specilised and providing better services, rather than on excessive expansion.
The third party logistics enterprises should strive for individualization to build up its own features and advantages, so as to survive in severe competition and increasingly tougher environment, as most of third party logistics enterprises in China are short-lived--less than 5 years on average.
Enterprises should pay attention on their adequate knowledge and investment on logistics informatization, as well as shortage of talents, which is factors restricting the development of logistics industry.
